Cattery

Our large indoor cattery is completely separate from the kennels, so the cats will not be disturbed by dogs barking. Our staff have many years of experience between them looking after both cats and dogs, so they are well equipped to cater for your every need.

OUR ACCOMMODATION

Our cattery rooms are full height, indoors and approximately 2 metres x 1.2 metres in size. All rooms have a large relax shelf, a heat lamp, hygienic vinyl flooring, sneeze barrier between the next cattery, a litter tray and a bed. Some have window views of the riding arena.
All cats are housed individually except for those coming in as a family. Our catteries are quiet, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy.

FEEDING

Most of the cats are given a bowl of dried food which stays down throughout the day, plus wet food once or twice daily depending on their routine at home. We have a range of popular wet and dry cat food. If your cat has special dietary requirements please discuss this with us as we may have a suitable alternative, otherwise you are more than welcome to supply your own food. We also always have a stock of canned tuna, mackerel and sardines as well as frozen fish and chicken, so don’t worry if your cat is a fussy eater – we can usually find something tempting!

VACCINATIONS

All cats must be fully vaccinated and must have had a booster injection within the past twelve months. Proof of vaccinations must be provided on entry to the cattery. We will NOT accept any cat into the cattery without proof. More information on vaccinations can be found on our T & C’s page.

All catteries and litter trays are cleaned thoroughly daily with an anti-viral disinfectant. Clean litter is given each day. Cleanliness and hygiene are very important to us, and we take every step to prevent viral cross infection.

Jane and the team do a fantastic job of looking after Akita Rescue and Welfares dogs I need. All the dogs are always so happy. Would 100% Recommend

My hoochie has been going here for 7 years now and he loves it. All the staff are fantastic and they look after him well. They make sure that his health conditions are well cared for and the Facebook page is a great way of seeing your pets if you miss them. Highly recommended

We cannot praise Jane and team highly enough. Our Staffie Brodie sadly passed last month and Springer Benson, and cat Merlin are always very well cared for, and Benson got extra spoilt because it was the first time Ever on his own. It is so good I literally have to bribe our lot to come home lol. Safe, loved, happy animals what else could you want

5 Star treatment all the time !

Collected my dog this morning after his first stay at Southend Farm ... very impressed. He has come back happy, muddy, and looks to have been well cared for. He had a terrible time at previous kennels so we are most impressed this time, will use them again and would definitely recommend .

Where our pooches go for their holidays. Fantastic boarding, fantastic staff. The dogs always come back exhausted and with wagging tails 🙂
