Livery Yard

Southend Farm is home to approximately 50 horses.

Situated on the edge of Epping Forest, we are perfectly situated for hacking out, with some excellent local rides and bridlepaths.

We run a large, friendly DIY yard with good facilities including:

- one 30m x 50m rubber surfaced ménage,
- one smaller rubber surfaced arena,
- and one smaller sand arena,

which are all available to use free of charge to our liveries.
We have a number of jumps which can be set up for courses.
Liveries may have riding lessons in the schools and we have a few people here that teach on site.

Turnout

Summer fields and winter paddocks and pens are provided, although horses will have to share fields.

During the summer months (usually May to end of October) horses may be left out in the fields day and night, but owners are responsible for their well-being. In the winter pens and winter paddocks can be used for short periods of turnout during the day.

A number of local feed merchants and farriers deliver frequently to the yard, and are always happy to take on new customers.

A vet visits the farm weekly from House & Jackson veterinary practice and is happy to take on new customers, although you are quite welcome to arrange for your own vet to attend. Although we are a DIY yard, we have people on site who are very happy to provide services, from simply giving morning feeds to a full livery service. DIY stable rent is currently £44.00 per week.

Jane and the team do a fantastic job of looking after Akita Rescue and Welfares dogs I need. All the dogs are always so happy. Would 100% Recommend

My hoochie has been going here for 7 years now and he loves it. All the staff are fantastic and they look after him well. They make sure that his health conditions are well cared for and the Facebook page is a great way of seeing your pets if you miss them. Highly recommended

We cannot praise Jane and team highly enough. Our Staffie Brodie sadly passed last month and Springer Benson, and cat Merlin are always very well cared for, and Benson got extra spoilt because it was the first time Ever on his own. It is so good I literally have to bribe our lot to come home lol. Safe, loved, happy animals what else could you want

Collected my dog this morning after his first stay at Southend Farm ... very impressed. He has come back happy, muddy, and looks to have been well cared for. He had a terrible time at previous kennels so we are most impressed this time, will use them again and would definitely recommend .

Where our pooches go for their holidays. Fantastic boarding, fantastic staff. The dogs always come back exhausted and with wagging tails 🙂
